Family Learning Impact Funding (FLIF)

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) allocated an additional £30m of impact funding (nationally) to Family Learning in 2008 to be spent over the following three years. This funding is intended to enhance and expand existing Family Learning provision to meet a number of key aims including:

  •  To extend the reach of Family Learning programmes to involve more families at risk and more fathers
  • To build the capacity of the workforce by recruiting and training more excellent teachers
  • To increase the number of parents, particularly disadvantaged parents, achieving qualifications and progressing
  • To improve data collections for parents and children

Within Lincolnshire Family Learning Impact Funding has been awarded to work with Dads, young and troubled mums in Lincoln, Gainsborough, Market Rasen and Mablethorpe, through Financial Capability and Wider Family Learning programmes.
