Monitoring equality and diversity in the lifelong learning sector

With the introduction of new equalities legislation and inspection criteria, it is increasingly important for providers in the learning and skills sector to monitor the characteristics of their workforce. Lifelong Learning UK is developing guidance and support for providers, including adult and community learning organisations, to highlight the importance of data collection and monitoring, and how this can bring benefits to the organisation.

The support, which includes a series of regional workshops and forthcoming guidance toolkit, will help providers to:

The toolkit will include good practice case studies from providers like you, sharing their experiences with monitoring workforce diversity. If you would like to contribute your experience of monitoring activities from an adult and community learning perspective for inclusion in the toolkit, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
